Mark has been guiding big game most of his life and been outfitting for 35+ years. He has trophy hunted around the world and is an accomplished hunter. A few things to know about Mark: he loves where he lives, he loves his family and he loves to work hard on the ranch, carrying on a beautiful family ranch legacy that includes his dad and grandfather, and now his own kids. He also loves to hunt. Mark and his wife Julie work together in the hunting business and have created a very authentic ranch-style big game hunting experience.
Chase is the oldest child of Mark and Julie and grew up working and hunting on the Flying Shit House Ranch. He is passionate about anything outdoors, especially archery hunting and fishing. An accommodating guide with extensive knowledge of the ranch and the wildlife here on the Rocky Mountain Front, Chase is one of our lead guides and oversees our fishing and upland bird operations.
The second son of Mark and Julie, Rhett grew up on the Flying Shit House Ranch. He has guided and hunted all over North America, specializing in trophy hunting for big game, especially deer and elk. Rhett is especially talented in field judging animals down to the inch of antler and horn growth. Rhett and his family live on the original Flying Shit House Ranch on the Sun River (this is also where his father Mark was raised) and he oversees the day-to-day cattle operations on the ranch. He is also one of our lead big game hunting guide.
A transplant from Georgia, Adam’s family moved to Augusta 20+ years ago when his parents worked at the Montana Wilderness School of the Bible, located 30 minutes outside of town. A Montana-loving outdoorsman, Adam has a wide range of skills and enjoys fly-fishing, rock climbing, ice climbing, backpacking, big game hunting and bird hunting. He has experience as a whitewater rafting and kayaking guide. Today, Adam and his wife (along with their boys) call Augusta home. Adam works in Great Falls as a firefighter and paramedic and guides fishing trips on the Sun River in his downtime. He is an expert fishing guide and works with both novice and experienced fishermen (and women).
Cody grew up in Michigan, but a job with the U.S. Forest Service led him to Augusta several years ago. Cody – along with his wife and son – hang their hats in Great Falls where he works as a firefighter. He’s a great asset to Mark Young Outfitters, as he enjoys soaking up Montana’s outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking and exploring.
Lowell grew up in Minnesota and spent his youth on baseball, fishing and bird hunting. In his late teens, Lowell trained his first bird-dog and fell in love with that crucial aspect of bird hunting. Today, he is our lead bird hunting guide. Lowell met his wife, Jill, at Montana Wilderness School of the Bible and has been on their staff since 2015. His family, which includes three kids, spends as much time outdoors as possible, soaking up every minute of Montana.
Raised in Choteau, Montana, Wilson has been playing in Montana’s outdoors since he was born. He brings a diverse set of skills to Mark Young Outfitters and guides fly-fishing on the Sun River and Elk Creek.
